WHAT PARENTS AND GROUP PARTICIPANTS ARE SAYING...
Daddy,
My dad died April 24th 2002. He went to the hospital for his chemotherapy for lung cancer from smoking cigarettes. My mom, brothers, sister and I went to the hospital to visit my father, he was just laughing and talking with us. My mom said it was time for us to go, so I kissed my father and he passed. The most difficult part for me is missing how my dad use to make us laugh, and play with us. He was a good dad who took care of us through thick and thin. I really miss, my dad.
I love you, Dad!

Dear Rainbow Center,
It's nice to say that you have helped me through some real bad days. So I stopped to give this true love and appreciation back to the one's who gave it to me.
Thanks for showing me how to except the fact that every death is painful at times, but you can't hold on to those painful thoughts forever.
Thanks for showing me the way out the darkness and helping me to see that life is not over.
Now I can move on in a positive way because you've helped me realize that my father is in a better place!True love from:

My brother-in-law, James Maurice Sheard
Your death granted me an opportunity to help children that have lost a loved one “Crisis=Opportunity”. It has been 6 years since your death and during that time I founded a children’s grief center in memory of you . The center is “Making a Rainbow through a Storm” in the lives of many grieving children that participate in the groups. Everyday without you, is challenging for your family (Toni, Tonie, James, Jr., Jasmin and Jermaine) but they seem to make the best of each day.
We miss you so much!
Your family (James, Jr., Toni, Tonie, Jasmin & Jermaine Sheard, sister-in-law, and your nephews (Michael, Antony'o, & Romeo)
PS. James graduated High School!
