The Rainbow Center for Children and Adolescents is a non-profit organization duly chartered by The State of Tennessee and designated a 501(c) (3) tax exempt organization by the Internal Revenue Service. The Rainbow Center for Children and Adolescents is dedicated to teaching children and adolescents how to grieve peacefully, find peace within, and cope with the loss of a parent, grandparent, sibling, or friend. Our services include grief support groups, grief counseling, art and poetry therapy and educational support groups for the surviving parent or caregivers . We also teach the surviving parent/caregiver and child how to support each other during the grief process, how to overcome the hurt and pain associated with the loss of a loved one, and how to reduce anger and frustration that the child or parent may feel. We teach various useful tools to carry with them throughout their lives. The Rainbow Center for Children and Adolescents is free of charge or low cost to low-moderate income families that are not fortunate to afford the cost.
